Farts

Creative Commons License
Farts are smelly
Farts are stinky.
Some are long
And some are short.
I will give you tip,
Never fart in court.
You might want to fart outside,
Where there`s no one by your side.

Eating

I love to eat
I love to greet
but I do not love my big feet.
I like to eat chicken
I like to eat ham
I have a best friend who`s name Pam.
I eat day and night
but If you don`t let me eat
my world will turn grey and white.

Dog

I have a dog who is very annoying
and also very funny.
But I had told my mom
I really wanted a bunny.
I love my dog very much
but I wouldn't want a bunch.

Fired

Creative Commons License
I am sleepy, I am tired
and I just got fired.
I have no money
I don`t know what to do.
Because all I have left is this bottle of glue.
I am lonely and sad
and I`m also little bit mad.
I have no home nothing to eat
and I have nothing on my feet.
I sit In the streets day and night
and I don`t even get to fly a kite.

Fall colors

I see the fall colors of red yellow and orange
I see the waxy green leaves disappear
I watch as the pieces painted red yellow and orange find their way to the soft carpet of grass
I think to myself
This is the cycle of life
This is the way that life is
All things in their time
Will fall to the soft carpet of grass
The question becomes
When it becomes our turn to fall to the soft carpet of grass
Will we have allowed ourselves to be changed
to be painted in bright red, yellow or orange
Forever leaving our beautiful essence in the world as we go

WHY?

Everyone likes a good, poor me story right? Doesn’t it make us feel better about us? Seriously isn’t that why we have the tv shows we do? I have just stopped watching television unless it’s the animal channels or discovery because everything else is such human dysfunction. Why watch television to see dysfunction, just go to any public place and sit and watch dysfunction unfold all around you.
Why, why are we in such a state of dysfunction? Why are we where we are? If we are so evolved and we have so much amazing technology, why are we so dysfunctional as a society as a whole?
I really don’t know. I am searching for that answer. I am looking for the why behind our decline as a social and evolved being. It seems as though humans are become more animal like and less civilized as our species moves on in time.
Have you been to our schools in this country? Kids are not allowed to move at the lunch table, they cannot pick their seats, they are not allowed to voice a prayer, and they are herded in like cattle and told to not speak. It sickens me, that children are not taught at home to handle themselves appropriately in these situations, and that teachers are not allowed to let them make mistakes and then help to correct those mistakes, I am disgusted at the way our children are treated in the public school system, like little animals being trained to obey.
So my kids are homeschooled.
Am I trying to protect them from the real world? I don’t think so. I hope I am preparing them for it instead. We are studying different religious texts and cultures, we discuss how and why we should respect all of them for what they are and for the hope they give to people.
I let my children explore their own thoughts on a subject with no right or wrong pretense given. How can I tell them they are right and or wrong when in reality there are so many times when I don’t know the answers either, and they could very well be right in their way of thought?
It saddens me that kids in schools are taught to think and live and reside inside the box and any straying from that box is strictly prohibited.
Thinking inside the box, whatever-if we think inside the box we will always get what we have always got right now. This country can’t take anymore box thinkers, we need innovation, we need movers and shakers, but when you take that out of children when they are in kindergarten, it certainly isn’t going to come back after their senior year-it’s gone, the light is out and there is no more shaking, no more independent thought. NO exploration of the world as they see it, no exploration of their own mind, only a, to do list, to follow.
Sad, really-Where do you go from here?
I don’t know.
SO I home school
Some days my patience runs pretty thin.
Some days I am not sure I know what patience are!!!!!!!
I won’t lie-it’s not the easiest job I have ever had-but growth in human spirit and in mind and in body is what I am after, it’s what I want to see, them stretching their minds to understand to absorb things around them and to be observant to everything, be students of life, of the earth of the divine. TO surrender their mind body and spirit in pursuit of learning all they can about, all they can!
I have been given a gift,
2 minds to help grow and teach
I thank the divine so much for those gifts!!

NON religious home school is it possible

NON-Religious home school is it possible?
I am not sure if it's possible. It seems that this is the biggest question we get asked is, if we home school for religious reasons?
The answer is YES and NO
Yes!!
Because we focus on every religion and I want my children to understand and delve into all kinds of cultures and religions. After all, how do you know what you believe until you know what you don't. We feel it is very important for our children to understand and respect religions from all over the globe. Our children are going to be living in, and working in an extremely global economy. I want them to be, not just tolerant but also educated, about the diverse customs and religions of other cultures.
NO! Because we do NOT focus on any one religion as being correct. We do not force them to adhere to rules customs or concepts of a specific religion. We do not use a religious curriculum in which they only see one aspect of the world. We refuse to educate our children on only one pattern of thought. We encourage an open minded, discussion based theory.
We use an online program, which is completely unbiased. Why? Because, that is what our children will be using in their work environment. It is what they understand and it is what they enjoy.
So the answer for the last time is Yes and No we home school for religious reasons, but probably not the kind that most people are thinking, I don't suspect we will have a realty show about our progressive thinking anytime soon, well maybe if we have 20 more children!!! :)
